Round Butter Cookies

Butter cookie recipe that can be used to make round character cookies.
Servings 8 cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 70 grams unsalted butter, softened
  • 30 grams icing sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100 grams cake flour
  • 25 grams almond flour
  • 10 grams milk powder

Instructions
 

  • Cream together the butter and sugar
  • Mix in the egg yolk and vanilla extract
  • Add in dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms
  • Divide the dough and dye into desired colors
  • Shape the cookies. (Keep unused dough covered to prevent it from drying out)
  • Chill the cookies for 25 minutes in the refrigerator
  • Bake at 320F/160C for 25 minutes
  • Optional: Decorate with royal icing/melted chocolate
