
Snickerdoodles. They are soft and chewy and covered with a delicious cinnamon sugar coating. What’s not to like about them?
You know how to make snickerdoodle cookies even better? By making them into cute Sanrio characters of course! I turned my snickerdoodles into the two characters Pompompurin and Mocha. As you can see in the pictures, I made Mocha’s face too long but otherwise I’m happy with how these cookies turned out.
These cookies are actually much easier to make than you would think. They require simple ingredients and are not at all hard to shape. To shape it, all you need to do is to grab a ball of cookie dough for the head and then two smaller ones for the ears and then you’ve got Pompompurin/Mocha. Both Pompompurin and Mocha are made the same way. The only difference is that Mocha has longer ears. There is also a video below if you want to watch how they are shaped.

SANRIO SNICKERDOODLES
Ingredients
cookie dough
- 115 grams unsalted butter, softened
- 133 grams granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 188 grams all purpose flour
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
cinnamon sugar
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Cream together the butter and sugar
- Add in the egg and vanilla. Mix until combined
- Add in all the dry ingredients and mix until combined
- Shape the cookies by taking pieces of dough, balling it up, and then dipping into cinnamon sugar
- Bake at 375F/190C for 12 minutes
- Let cookies cool before decorating with melted chocolate
